On the 23rd of February 2012,
my home country came to its 28th independence day...

We made a small last-minute celebration in our little sheep town.
It was incomplete, but moments of smiles and laughter were still countless.

To the country that I miss oh so dearly and to its town people:

Winter Break: 22nd December 2011 - 3rd January 2012
From Lancaster to Loughborough to Cardiff to London

Finally, finally, FINALLY, met up with the Einsteins78 after months being apart. :'D I went to Loughborough first though to meet up Munir and stayed there for about a week I think. Then, from there we went to Cardiff together to meet up with the rest and spent around a week there as well. Lastly went to London and stayed for a night then went our separate ways.

It was definitely a well-spent winter break. Fully satisfied! Had a very warm welcome from the people in Loughborough so a huge thanks to Fuad, Khal, Muaz, Najmah, Dayah, Amali, Farhan, and everyone else who spent my week there with me, even for a second. Then in Cardiff, there are a lot of people to say thank you to. I'll name a few: thank you to Shila, Fai, Fatin, Hafiz, Wendy, Nad, there are others as well but just can't seem to remember every one of them. Oh, in London, thank you to Mizzy for letting us stay the night at your place. Thank you to everyone who welcomed me and the rest so warmly and I appreciate every bit of your kindness.

Not forgetting, a great huge chunk of thanks to the Einsteins for sparing your time to meet up because I missed you guys so badly. Hopefully, we'll be able to meet up again some time soon. I love you guys.

From Lancaster to Levenshulme

This was quite an experience as well, I'd have to say. I learned a lot from this programme and I'm thankful and glad that I was chosen to be one of the people to join by Allah swt. It was definitely an amazing experience and it changed the perspective of my life completely. Who'd ever thought that we were actually given a goal to achieve by the Almighty? All this time I thought we were just to live this life, live by His rules, and just do as we please. But Alhamdulillah, my eyes and heart have been opened to what my main mission is. InsyaAllah, I will work my way to achieve it.

A bunch of thanks to all of the brothers and sisters who successfully organised, and joined this, it was definitely worth my time. Hopefully I can join in something like this again, InsyaAllah.

Weekend Getaway: 18th February 2012 - 19th February 2012
From Lancaster to Manchester to Keele

This was also a good trip. Sadly, I wasn't able to join to go to the Old Stafford Stadium though since there was a last minute change in the rehearsal timetable. Thus, I missed it. But it was nice to finally get to eat at Chicken Cottage (although there wasn't any lamb ribs *sobs*) and meet Tutu. Thanks to her and her housemate, who is also my new 'geng', Zimah, for letting us stay the night at Manchester. Also thanks to Arie, Mimie, Ali, Wajdi and Syuaib for being our tour guide at Keele. Had tons of laughs and my stomach is still full from that weekend. Ah~ good times. I'm pretty sure I've said enough in Facebook. Hehehe But again, thanks a bunch!

And there you have it. Update is done! Although it's not detailed, I just don't have that much time on my hands and this was past months back so I can't remember every single thing that happened. Also, not sure if you've noticed or not (pretty sure you do), the layout changed again! I must emphasise on my display picture! "I HAVE THE SAME HAT AS SHO-CHAN! KYAAAAAA~" Spazzing is done. *angelic smile*

This action will give a statement of intent: "We will not tolerate the Media Industries' lobbying for legislation that will censor the internet."

Edited to add my own thoughts (not part of the original reddit call for action): And if you do not feel like taking a total break and perhaps want just a trial separation or couple's counseling, then perhaps consider Black March Lite 2.0 = spend, but spend money on those content creators and independent retailers who came out against SOPA/PIPA. And tell them why you're buying their products in March. There are many of them.

And for those who favor the more targeted boycott, you can find info here. But no matter which, you can participate and you can tailor your level of participation. We have the tools, the will and the strength to take a stand.

what hurts the most.

After years of knowing each other, after years of being friends, after years of loving each other, I was shocked by the fact that you could only saw the bad side of me. What you said was nothing but hatred-filled-words, talking about how poorly-raised I have been, how ill-treated I have been to you, as if all this time, all I did was hurt you. I admit, that all of it was my fault. No matter how many times I've said this to you but you can never just get it into your head can you? I realise my faults. I realise my wrong-doings. I admitted to all of it that you can blame me for what and how things have happened.

But to say as if I have done nothing but treated you poorly and badly, as if I have just been using for my amusement in my spare time, as if I never cared for you, as if I never loved you, that was just too much. To say those words where the only reason I went to you was because nobody else loved me, nobody else cared to give me the attention I wanted, nobody wanted me, do you know how much that hurt me?

I am here, continents away from my loving family and friends, of course I am lonely. I am lonely to my core! I don't get to celebrate my family's birthdays. I don't get to see my dad when he comes out. I'm not even sure if I'll be able to go home this summer. So to answer your question, I am lonely. And out of all people, I chose to talk to you. But you took that as if it meant nothing.

How dare you? Judging me without knowing how I truly feel. As if you've only known me for a few days, as if we just met. Out of all people, you should've known better. But no, your ego and anger and hatred for me got the best of you. And because of your actions and words, you just brought out the worst of me. Because of you, I don't think I can ever love again. So your wishes may come true. I'll never have a boyfriend. I'll never end up with a husband. That's what you want, that's what you'll get.
